Dead on the Vine is a UK thriller set on a vineyard on the south coast. Inspired by the Coen brothers it is a darkly comic story of the vineyards two female owners and their desperate attempts to save not only their business but their lives when two mysterious men arrive on their doorstep asking for help but bringing chaos and violence.

Produced by Laura Rees on a shoestring budget during Covid the film was pulled together expertly by a dedicated team that have been constantly jumping hurdles to get the film over the line.

Dead on the Vine burst onto the scene with a string of accolades, taking home Best Film at indie icon Kevin Smith’s Smodcastle Film Festival, and catching the eye of horror legend Brian Yuzna, who signed the film to his new label Dark Arts Entertainment.

The film swept awards at the BIFA-qualifying Unrestricted View Film Festival in London — including Best Film, Director, Actor, and Actress — and was an official selection at the Fangoria-sponsored Dead Northern Film Festival.
